During my Fine Art Degree in Nottingham, Artists Jessica Lewis, Rhianna Pierson, Lucy Davies and Kate Richardson were given a space in Nottingham's Surface Gallery. They needed a curator to help assist with the organisation of their show. I was asked by the artists to assist with the curation of 'Foraged from the Fleeting' as apart of Nottingham Trent's Art Festival, 'The Island' at Surface Gallery. There were over 20 artworks ranging from canvas to instillation. I worked with the artists to ensure they were happy with my decisions, making sure l utilized the space that was given.

 

I really enjoyed the decision process and organisation of hanging an exhibition, I felt the team trusted me to display their work in a way that emphasized and respected the individual artworks whilst making them relate to each other in the space as a whole.
